Role
PDW is seeking a Materials Runner to join our team, contributing to the efficient delivery and movement of parts, components, and materials between inventory, production areas, and off-site locations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possess strong attention to detail, and play a pivotal role in ensuring timely material flow to support uninterrupted production and project execution.
Responsibilities
- Transport materials, components, and supplies between warehouse, production floor, and local vendors or PDW facilities using company vehicle
- Ensure materials are accurately picked, packaged, and delivered per routing instructions and production schedules
- Document material movements and confirm deliveries in ERP or tracking systems as required
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials from delivery vehicles or warehouse staging areas
- Follow all safety, cleanliness, and 5S protocols when staging, handling, and delivering materials
- Communicate clearly with Planning, Procurement, and Production staff to coordinate priority runs or issue resolution
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and support inventory control processes as available in between deliveries when on-site
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of experience in a material handling, warehouse, or production support role
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record (company vehicle will be used for deliveries)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move materials using carts or pallet jacks
- Comfortable working in both warehouse and production environments as well as driving between sites
- Strong interpersonal skills working with a variety of team members with a high focus on internal customer service
ITAR Requirement
In compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) or individuals granted asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
