Position Overview
PDW seeks a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team, contributing to the next wave of system and tool development for our upcoming product lines. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the expansion of the Mechanical Engineering team at PDW.
Core Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, have excellent critical thinking skills, and delivers thoughtfully designed and highly adaptable systems.
- 3D CAD modeling, design reviews, simulation and analysis, design for manufacturing.
- Build and analyze prototypes for failure mode analysis and validation testing.
- Define and execute test plans.
- Create mechanical BOM’s.
- Transition successful projects into production.
Requirements
- 7 years of work experience in design, analysis, development of electromechanical equipment, components, assemblies, and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a technically related field.
- Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and DFM for Injection Molding, Machining, Additive Manufacturing
- Experience in mechanical design review, design for manufacturing and testing.
- Ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet industry standards.
- Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills.
- Experience in FMECA.
- Experience in electronics product design.
- Strong success rate of receiving and interpreting design direction from creative partners.
- Strong interdisciplinary skills across other engineering departments.
ITAR Requirement
