Role
PDW seeks a skilled Quality Assurance Software Engineer to join our team, contributing to the next wave of system and tool development for our upcoming product lines. This person will play a pivotal role in ensuring software quality, compliance with industry standards, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, able to deal with problems on the fly, and delivers thoughtfully designed and highly adaptable systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and methodologies for software development.
- Oversee the design and execution of test plans, test cases, and automated testing tools to ensure products meet the desired quality levels.
- Conduct systematic checks on all stages of software development to guarantee that the quality of the final product meets the required specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in response to defects, deviations, and non-conformance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, production, and sales, to continuously improve product quality and efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and train personnel on quality processes and procedures to ensure consistent application of best practices.
- Keep up to date with industry developments, standards, and regulations and make recommendations for their implementation.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies, specifically for software development.
- Proficiency in the Python coding language developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Experience with quality control software and tools, including automated testing frameworks.
- 3 years of experience in a Software focused QA position. This could be on a QA team, or as a QA team within a larger software team.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Playwright, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with software development for drones or other autonomous systems.
- FAA Part 107 certification and FPV flying knowledge is highly desired.
ITAR Requirement
