POSITION SUMMARY
The Coatings Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field operations concerning surface preparations and coatings application. This includes planning work activities, providing daily work schedules, assigning specific individual task, ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining a safe working environment. This role ensures that all procedures are followed and that all assigned employees are performing their duties as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Have an unwavering commitment to Safety
- Managing company & customer assets, including personnel, during on-site blasting & painting operations.
- Performing QA/QC functions in blasting & painting areas of operations ensuring quality workmanship.
- Attending, participating and conducting pre-job meetings.
- Attending, participating and conducting safety meetings.
- Preparing, analyzing and making necessary modifications to JSEA's.
- Assisting in and/or directing complete job loadouts.
- Mentoring personnel while providing on-the-job training.
- Understand, analyze and decipher safety policies & procedures, coating specifications, scopes of work and project schedules while strategizing & communicating project goals & expectations with the crew.
- Ensuring good housekeeping is being performed through-out the entire project - inside & outside.
- Demonstrates strong adherence to Company policies and procedures, as well as Company values
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- HUET certified
- Valid TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card)
- Basic written and verbal skills
- Must be willing and able to work a 12-16hour shift per day for the duration of a 14/7 offshore schedule
- Must be able to work from swinging scaffolding
- Must be able to wear proper PPE/dust mask and/or paint paint
- Ability to perform work accurately
- Must be reliable and have good time management skills
- Physically and mentally fit
- Manlift and forklift certified
- Must have a clear understanding of how to navigate and decipher the contents of an SDS book
- Operational knowledge of, and the ability to troubleshoot, all blasting and painting tools and equipment
- Ability to work productively in adverse conditions
- For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
