Summary of Position
Repairs and maintains heavy equipment including engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. Removes, disassembles, cleans, and reassembles components. Uses service manuals to understand issues and selects the proper tools and protocols for an assignment. Diagnoses issues and performs failure analyses. Reports to a supervisor or manager. Works under moderate supervision.

Non-Exempt/Hourly Position $25.00 - $35.00

Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose machine system and components
- Determine appropriate parts necessary
- Change or re-build machine components as necessary
- Use pressure washing equipment to clean machinery
- Ensure that machines are in safe operating condition
- Perform basic welding, cutting and grinding
- Change ground engaging gear and attachments on machinery
- Read and understand parts service instructional information
- Clean tools and working areas
- Interact professionally and courteously with co-workers and customers
- Perform all other duties as assigned
