About the Position:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused Optometric Technician to join our team in Brighton, IL. This role is essential to delivering outstanding care by assisting doctors, performing pre-testing, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for their exams with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Perform pre-exam testing, including visual acuity, autorefraction, OCT, retinal imaging, and tonometry.
- Assist doctors with scribing and documentation in electronic health records (RevolutionEHR).
- Educate patients on contact lens care, eyewear options, and overall eye health.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Work closely with the optical and administrative teams to provide seamless patient care.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to HIPAA compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience as an optometric technician, medical assistant, or in a related healthcare field is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (RevolutionEHR experience is a plus).
