What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead, Food Service Worker - Military Base position at Performance Food Group?
Responsible for leading, selling, and promoting company products while working in a fast pace retail/wholesale environment with customers and other associates in a team oriented environment. Provides prompt, courteous, and professional one on one attention to customers. Responsible for opening/closing of Retail counter and training other associates. Other duties including stocking shelves, rotating product, inventory counts, and daily cleaning task. Functions as a leader and team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Leading, selling, and promoting company products while servicing the customer and showing other associates how its done.
Receive incoming stock items at the loading dock and transport to staging are by hand as required.
Inspect items for damage, perform quality checks and temperature checks, verify lot numbers and take appropriate action as needed.
Rotate date sensitive stock to the front of the rack (FIFO) and remove out dated inventory according to company policy.
Dispense over stocked items to available areas for temporary storage.
Select customer orders for will call, assist customers in store with selections and check out customers as required. Perform general housekeeping duties, sweep/scrub floors, set up promotional and seasonal displays, clean displays, remove trash, maintain outside areas, clean restrooms.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED Or Equivalent Experience
Required Experience:
1 – 3 Years
Customer Service/Retail environment or related area.
