Functions as a team memberwithin the department and organization, as required, and performsany duty assigned to best serve the company. Responsibilities mayinclude, but not limited to : Oversees the operations of themechanic shop assuring all mechanical maintenance and repairs areperformed properly and in the most efficient and economical mannerpossible. Plans, organizes, directs, supervises and evaluates theactivities, programs and operations, determines and establishespriorities. Conducts utilization studies and evaluates thecondition of the fleet on an ongoing basis; makes recommendationson the size and composition of the fleet and establishment ofreplacement criteria. Ensures that all safety regulations arefollowed. Manages, mentors and leads others in the performance oftheir duties in accordance with applicable laws and within companypolicy and procedures. Maintains and keeps all equipment in goodworking condition. Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs trucks, trailersand other equipment. Ensures that inspections and preventivemaintenance are conducted. Prepares and maintains records andreports. Maintains a clean shop. Develops interpersonalrelationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, bothinternally and externally. Other duties as assigned. RequiredQualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent 4-6 Years ofExperience with fleet equipment maintenance. Team lead orsupervisory experience with Department of Transportation (DOT)regulations knowledge. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree inBusiness management or related area. 6-10 Years of fleet managementequipment maintenance Supervisory experience with Department ofTransportation (DOT) regulations knowledge within foodserviceindustry.
