Fleet Maintenance Specialist Job Summary:
This role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test vehicles to identify potential issues and diagnose problems using computerized diagnostic tools.
- Recommend repairs or replacements as needed, including replacing parts such as brake pads, air filters, and spark plugs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including time spent, materials used, and any additional services provided.
- Work collaboratively with other mechanics to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, suspension, and other critical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software.
