Diesel Mechanic Service Technician
The Diesel Mechanic Service Technician at Performance Foodservice is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and overhauling medium to heavy-duty fleet diesel equipment to ensure safe and compliant operations. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, inspecting crucial components, and documenting repairs.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery requiring the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists
- Trains/provides guidance to other Mechanics
The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma/GED or State approved equivalent and 3-5 years experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and experience in refrigeration.
