Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet vehicles.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engine repair and maintenance, as well as experience with medium to heavy-duty truck repair. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues, and providing guidance and training to other mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including electrical and electronic systems
- Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics
- Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty truck repair
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
