Fleet Diesel Equipment Technician
We are looking for an experienced Fleet Diesel Equipment Technician to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our fleet by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on diesel equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Diagnose issues and complete documentation for repairs through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and other electronic components
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including computerized diagnostics and refrigeration
