Diesel Mechanic Technician Job Summary:
This Diesel Mechanic Technician role is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel equipment for our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults using computerized diagnostic tools.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Work closely with senior technicians to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including documentation of repairs and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
- Prior experience with diesel engines, transmissions, and braking systems is highly desirable.
- The ability to work independently, think critically, and solve complex technical problems is essential.
