Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician Class B to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our medium to heavy-duty diesel equipment.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform repairs on diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and convertor dollies.
- Equipment Diagnostics: Identify root causes of issues and diagnose problems with brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical components.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
We offer a competitive pay rate of $25.00 per hour or more depending on experience, as well as benefits from day one, including free uniforms and boot allowance. Our 4-day work week includes 10-hour shifts from Tuesday to Friday.
