We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician - Class B to join our team at Performance Foodservice. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units.
As a Diesel Technician - Class B, you will perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. You will also diagnose and repair complex issues with our vehicles, using your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems. Additionally, you will train and mentor other mechanics on the job.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including experience with PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration. A High School Diploma/GED or State-approved equivalent is required, as well as 3-5 years of experience in this field.
