The Heavy Duty Truck Technician at Performance Foodservice is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhauling of diesel equipment. This includes performing routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, as well as installing, replacing, and repairing onboard computers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts, and be able to identify root causes of basic failures/conditions. A high school diploma/GED or equivalent is required, along with 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
