Job Summary
The Heavy-Duty Vehicle Repair Specialist at Performance Foodservice is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our fleet diesel equipment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, as well as documenting all work performed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake system inspections, and wheel bearing checks.
- Identify and repair basic failures/conditions in fleet diesel equipment, including electrical troubleshooting and electronic component repair.
- Train/provide guidance to other Mechanics.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive work environment with growth opportunities.
Requirements:
A High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent and 3 - 5 years of proven experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair are required for this position.
