About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Helper to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and refrigeration equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review work schedules, perform safety checks on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work, and prepare for operations
- Assist in performing regular scheduled tractor inspections, complete checklists, troubleshoot, and make routine repairs as required
- Operate electric arc welding equipment to repair ramps, ladders, and tripods, repair or construct new cargo bars
