Fleet Maintenance Job Summary
We are currently seeking a qualified Tractor Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks, inspecting and repairing or replacing faulty components, and conducting thorough documentation of work orders.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment
- Inspect and repair or replace faulty components, including brakes, tires, and suspension systems
- Conduct thorough documentation of work orders through the Enterprise Asset Management system
- Train and provide guidance to junior mechanics
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair
- Strong knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
