Position Summary

As a Sales Manager, you will oversee the sales team operations in our district, ensuring effective execution of sales plans and accountability for the sales, profitability, and accounts receivable performance. You will be an integral team member, dedicated to serving the company's goals.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor associates in key areas such as staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution. Organize and conduct monthly sales meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Achieve targeted sales goals as defined by business objectives while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Understand and address customer needs by establishing effective policies and practices. Cultivate strong relationships based on openness, candor, and trust, while providing professional assistance when interacting with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Facilitate educational sessions for the sales team regarding product offerings, sales techniques, and company policies. Engage with industry organizations and present major account proposals. Conduct competitive analysis and participate in industry shows and events.
  • Interact with customers and vendors in a timely manner, ensuring inquiries are addressed accurately. Manage customer complaints, issues, and emergencies effectively.
  • Develop and monitor major account prospects and manage customer rebates and incentives accordingly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

4-6 years of experience in foodservice sales with team lead or supervisory role

Valid driver's license and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to customer locations

Must reside within the geographical market area.
