Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Independent Account Business Developer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships to drive overall profitability.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in foodservice sales, restaurant management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the industry and its trends. You will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing sales territories and individual customers to identify new business opportunities; sampling products with existing and potential customers; planning sales strategies, including time and territory management; and conducting effective sales presentations.
You will also be responsible for growing sales and profit margins on an ongoing basis to meet established sales and margin goals; setting up new customer accounts by determining pricing and working with other departments to coordinate efforts; and ensuring customer satisfaction by providing an exemplary level of service.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving a sales territory daily. You will also be required to maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory to ensure competitive pricing.
