What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Maintenance Specialist position at Performance Foodservice?
We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician - Class B to join our maintenance team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our fleet diesel equipment, from preventative maintenance to repairs and upgrades.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including experience with PM's, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and experience in refrigeration. A High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent is required, and 3-5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience is preferred.
As a Diesel Technician - Class B, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, from tractors and trailers to refrigeration units and convertor dollies.
