Quality Control Manager
Responsible for handling PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, IMDS and all other required documentation per customer request. Act as a liaison between suppliers, Purchasing and Sales and Customers regarding Root Cause Analysis, corrective actions and the replacement of defective products as appropriate. QC Manager will also train, educate and assign the workload for Quality Control staff.
Responsibilities
· Analyze, revise, publish and maintain Quality Management System in ISO 9001:2015 environment
· Lead and/or assist in conducting internal audits per standard quality practices and to the current quality standards followed by Performance Gear Systems.
· Establish department priorities and effectively communicate those priorities to QA.
· Assign workload to department associates and hold associates responsible for meeting on time delivery.
· Manage the data and publishes Supplier Quality and Service Ratings on a quarterly basis.
· Request and approve, as appropriate, PPAPs for new or changed supplier of manufactured parts.
· Train QA associates in the use of quality inspection tools and equipment and maintain ISO education records for all QA associates.
· Train and educate QA associates on proper testing techniques, data acquisition software and hardware, the use of statistical quality controls to improve quality of parts received, engineering drawing interpretation and application of critical characteristic.
· Process non-conforming reports (SCARs) from Internal and External Customers in a timely manner.
· Verify receipt of corrective action letters from suppliers and file all appropriate SCAR documentation as a quality record.
· As necessary, purge the nonconforming area of potentially defective product when analyzing defective material.
· Serve as Workflow SCAR & PPAP administrator maintaining fields and file parameters to insure proper functioning of the system.
Requirements
· Technical experience with respect to Quality measuring equipment
· Experience with Quality Management Systems
· ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 leadership experience required
· Automotive experience required
· Management experience required
· Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
· Read and interpret engineering drawing specifications
· Experience performing First Piece Inspection
· Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
· Vision system and CMM knowledge preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,100.00 - $110,000.00 per year
