Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to SOX, GAAP, TILA, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of financial practices to identify areas of risk or non-compliance.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by governing bodies.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure understanding and implementation of compliance policies.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters, including financial concepts and technical accounting.
- Monitor changes in legislation that may impact the organization’s compliance obligations.
- Assist in the development of internal controls related to corporate accounting and financial auditing processes.
- Review financial software systems for compliance with regulatory standards, including ACH transactions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a compliance role or similar position within the financial sector.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations including SOX, GAAP, TILA, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with corporate accounting principles and financial auditing practices.
- Proficient in using financial software and tools relevant to compliance monitoring.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
