Used Car Technician Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing
- Provide Manager with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements
- Repair vehicles based on diagnosed issues and repair estimate
- Test Drive Vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and determine whether any other problems exist
- File appropriate documentation on every repair
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ASE certifications preferred but not required
- 5 years of automotive repair experience required
- Knowledge of tools and equipment required to preform all repairs
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools required
- Drivers license with a driving record allowing you to drive company and customer vehicles
