Job Title: Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, be capable of troubleshooting and repairing a variety of equipment, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing machinery. This position requires excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit boards, motors, sensors, PLCs, and control systems.
Inspect and maintain mechanical components, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
Install, test, and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning in compliance with safety standards.
Monitor machinery performance and identify areas for improvement or necessary upgrades.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and conduct repairs quickly and efficiently to minimize production disruption.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and production staff to identify and address equipment issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and inspections.
Follow all safety procedures and work in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist with the training of junior technicians and other staff on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical or mechanical maintenance preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical components.
Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drives.
Experience with troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment such as conveyors, motors, pumps, and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing process.
Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times.
