Maintenance Worker

PPS is hiring a Maintence Worker for a full time, long term opportunity with an established, successful company in Saraland, AL.

• $25/hr starting pay
• Day Shift / 50 hours per week
• 100% single coverage insurance after 60 days

Please read the qualifications and requirements carefully to make sure your background and experience are a match:

· Performing repair or general maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting task.

· Repairing and treating structures such as showers, floors, sinks, walls, carpets, and roofs.

· Performing minor repairs, troubleshooting, and adjustments to food processing equipment, such as conveyors and ball bearings.

· Must be familiar with troubleshooting/repairing HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment

· Moving and assisting in transportation of equipment

· Must have expertise to conduct the maintenance related inspection of the production line.

· Should be careful in formulating the safety policies and implement them in the production units. Must follow all safety procedures and protocols.

· Should be able to plan the production maintenance services and executing the required technical assignments.

· Be able to terminate/troubleshoot wiring for AC & DC voltage

· Be able to use MIG & Stick Welder

· Be able to use a Plasma Cutter & Acetylene torch

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIROMENT:

· Possess physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time

· May be required to work overtime and/or weekends

· Must be able to go into tight/confined spaces

· Must be able to work in stressful situations in times of need

· Must be able to work in high/cold temperatures

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

· Must possess excellent coordination skills

· Must have excellent skills of documentation to regularly keep track of the activities

· Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools

· Ability to operate forklift and pallet jacks

· Communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral form

· Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships

· Must possess the willingness to follow instructions of superior personnel of the organization
