Role Description
We seek a skilled Marine Generator / Electrical Technician to join our team in Savannah, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex marine electrical systems in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Position Summary
The Marine Generator / Electrical Technician will be responsible for. This includes troubleshooting AC/DC power systems, performing electrical testing, and supporting field service operations.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including generators, switchgear, voltage regulators, and distribution panels.
Install cable runs, wire termination, and connection of components based on schematics and technical manuals.
Conduct load bank and megger testing, and other diagnostic procedures using multimeters and related tools
Complete preventative maintenance and repair of marine electrical and generator systems
Accurately document the service performed and communicate with supervisors and customers.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in marine or industrial electrical/generator service
Solid understanding of AC/DC circuits, load sharing, and overcurrent protection
Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, including multimeters and amp clamps
Familiarity with generator maintenance procedures and electrical system design
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and service manuals
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and technical communication
Valid passport required; must be able to travel for out-of-town and occasional international assignments
High school diploma or equivalent required; ABYC certification preferred
