Founded in 1998, Performance Services (PSI) is a design and construction firm specializing in constructing and renovating education and government facilities utilizing guaranteed energy savings (performance contracts) and the design-build procurement method. POSITION PURPOSE
The Interior Designer is responsible for managing and actively participating in the production efforts on public and private architectural projects. Works closely with PSI Lead Architects to meet with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, and work with the PSI team to develop solutions.
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interior Design
- Use of REVIT in architectural design.
- Prepare design presentations including finish material samples, renderings, space plans and proposal documents.
- Work with school administration to determine project needs and goals as related to interior design.
- Develop interior finish schemes in alignment with clients’ needs, budget, and preferences.
- Coordinate interior design features with architectural and engineering teams.
- Develop construction documents and manage construction administration.
- Coordinate and assist with "red lines".
Communication & Collaboration
- Attend and collaborate in all required project meetings and presentations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills- Present to customers in design and board meetings
- Coordinate with internal Architects, Engineers and Project Managers regarding projects.
- Communicate with outside consultants regarding projects.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office functions will primarily be performed at PSI’s business office in Indianapolis, IN.
- Site visits and off-site coordination, and presentation meetings will be held at the project site.
- Additional hours may be required prior to project deadlines or in the evenings for school board presentations, meetings, and overnight travel may also be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Minimum of five years of commercial interior design experience, with a preference for K-12 background.
- Proficiency in REVIT- Minimum of 4 years with REVIT.
- Experience in successfully managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Strong Knowledge of materials, finishes, and building codes.
- Microsoft Office, Enscape, AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and other visualization software a plus
