Position Purpose
The Performance Assurance (PA) Technician will work with the assigned PA Specialist to set-up, monitor, and process Building Automation System (BAS) operational issues via systems analytics software, review systems performance, and identify and help resolve system outlier issues. The PA Technician will also assist the PA Specialist with system optimization and Optimal Learning Environment (OLE) readings at the completion of each project. Additionally, the PA Technician will utilize the PSI Client Portal to assist the customer with the recognition and resolution of performance concerns reported by the customer or identified by the systems performance analytics software.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

The PA Technician will also assist the PA Specialist with system optimization and Optimal Learning Environment (OLE) readings at the completion of each project. Additionally, the PA Technician will utilize the PSI Client Portal to assist the customer with the recognition and resolution of performance concerns reported by the customer or identified by the systems performance analytics software.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
- Working from the PSI office, utilize web access via PC to monitor performance of complex HVAC systems using the BAS system, systems analytics software and the PSI customer portal.
- Working from either the PSI office or at the project site, assist the PA Specialist with the commissioning and optimization of building systems for peak performance.
- Perform on-line trouble shooting of building performance problems throughout the term of the performance agreement.
- Work with others in the Performance Assurance group to ensure that all BAS functions are in place to properly monitor and evaluate the energy performance of the systems, including the generation of runtime reports and other critical trending points.
- Communicate with customers from the PSI office to help identify, understand, and resolve their systems issues and concerns.

- Work hours vary based on workload but should average 45-50 hours per week.
- Some overnight travel will be required.
- Experience as an HVAC control technician or BAS system operator is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a service-oriented position is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2-year technical degree or equivalent.
