We are recruiting for Medical Assembly assignments offered at W.L. Gore. The position is temp-to-perm (benefit-eligible*) with an opportunity for possible permanent employment after 60 days. (*Medical benefits are available after 60 days of concurrent employment).

Hourly Pay Rate / Available Shifts;
Job Type: Full-time (temp-to-perm, 36-38 hours)
Salary: $18-20/hr.

Assignment starts as a temporary placement with the possibility of becoming directly employed with W. L Gore.

The base rate for all shifts is $18.00

1st $18.00 hourly rate
4:00 am – 2:30 pm (M – Th)
(Shift may start 1-2 hours later)
Total hours worked weekly: 38 hours

2nd Shift $18.00 $1.00 Shift Differential Per Hour
2:30 pm – 1:00 am (M – Th)
2:45 pm – 1:15 am (M – Th)
3:00 pm – 1:30 am (M – Th)
Total hours worked weekly: 38 hours

4th Shift $18.00 $2.00 Shift Differential Per Hour
4:00 am – 4:30 pm (F, S, S)
5:00 am – 5:30 pm (F, S, S)
5:30 am – 5:00 pm (F, S, S)
6:00 am – 6:30 pm (F, S, S)
10:30 am – 11:00 pm (F, S, S)
Total hours worked weekly: 36 hours

5th Shift $18.00 $2.00 Shift Differential Per Hour
4:00 pm – 4:30 am (F, S, S)
Total hours worked weekly: 36 hours

Responsibilities Include:

• Working within a team in a controlled/clean-room manufacturing environment while wearing required clean-room garments
• Setting up and operating manufacturing equipment
• Performing hand assembly and visual inspection
• Using measuring equipment
• Collecting and entering data into a computer
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Working independently and within a team as needed
• Developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships
• Maintaining excellent attendance\
• Being adaptable to support business needs, including moving from one manufacturing team or facility to another as needed (this may include some variability in shift hours between buildings)

Required Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• One year of demonstrated, consistent work experience (full-time 35-40 hrs. a week)
• Demonstrated basic computer and math skills
• Good documentation skills
• Good visual acuity, Quick learner, Organized, and Detail oriented
• Self-directed and motivated
• Ability to pass a Visual Acuity Test
• Ability to pass a 5-Panel Drug Test (Medical or Recreation use of Marijuana will disqualify)
• Random drug testing is a possibility throughout the duration of the assignment.
• Ability to pass a National Criminal Background Check (felony or misdemeanors may disqualify)
• Ability to wear a full-body PPE suit, mask, and face shield for 10-12 hours
• Stand or sit for 10-12 hours a day and perform repetitive work
