- Technical and communication skills are needed.
- The client is looking for a candidate who does not need to be a Java developer but a Middleware Engineer.
- Client had some security threats in the past and that is due to java and Log4j security gaps. Hence, they had to buy support from Oracle to be supported on the java.
- Client wants to move away from Oracle Java to an open source-based java
- Mostly the conversion needs to happen on Client s servers.
- There are app servers and file servers and they are all different.
- There are generally three stages of them dev, test, and prod.
- All servers are on Azure, so are virtual.
- Amazon Corretto is one option that the client is willing to move to, as it is open source .
- So, if someone has worked with migration to Corretto that will be good.
- They also have 300 desktops that run java and the resource person might assist the department of IT in suggesting and upgrading those as well as latter part of the project.
This project will have two phases:
- Identify what needs to be done, the scope and what are the constraint
- Executing what needs to be done.
