Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Demonstrate product features and benefits through engaging product demos.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to provide informed assistance.
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure an appealing shopping environment.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and product replenishment.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone.
- Support supervisors in training new staff members as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous.
- Basic math skills are essential for processing transactions and managing cash registers.
- Experience with retail math concepts such as markdowns, inventory turnover, and sales forecasting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new products and sales techniques is highly valued.
