Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by restocking shelves and managing inventory levels.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions with accuracy.
- Demonstrate product knowledge through effective product demos to enhance customer engagement.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding product features, promotions, and store policies.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage stock levels and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Ensure compliance with store policies including phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone.
Experience
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating a cash register is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is a plus, as well as experience in conducting product demos.
