The main purpose of PERI’s Head of Local Procurement position is to support the company’s purchasing activities to secure efficiency, effectiveness and compliance. The Head of Local Procurement does this by developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure quality. Leveraging PERI’s resources, the Head of Local Procurement works with various local departments (e.g., operations, sales, finance) to align procurement with company goals. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Head of Local Procurement position to lead the procurement team, driving a high-performance culture.

The allocated salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually and includes additional compensation opportunity.

What You’ll Do In a Typical Day
- Execute Purchase Orders and secure On-Time Deliveries in terms of quality and logistic
- Negotiates local demands according to process while monitors orders, lead escalations and handle claims and invoice issues
- Participate in the estimating/budgeting process for competitive proposals while considering project-specific challenges.
- Ensure a high data-quality in SAP / ERP and existing procurement systems for an efficient ordering process and optimize KPI`s for local 3rd party spend based on global standards
- Complete RFQ process including its implementation in the form of quantity contracts, info records or purchase orders (RFQ)
- Continuous improvement of local supplier performance by tracking KPI`s and initiating of actions
- Drive global Procurement requirements (LKSG, CBAM, Risk-Mgmt., etc.) through the local organization
- Support of the Category Manager/Technical Project Procurement Manager in Identification, qualification & managing of “major suppliers” according to defined processes and preparing local figures
- Identification, qualification and managing of “medium and minor local suppliers” according to the guidelines & the category strategy (includes supplier evaluation and selection, negotiation of contracts and pricing, performance monitoring, and fostering strong relationships with key suppliers)
- Ensuring compliance with international standard processes and utilization of the standard IT systems of Global Procurement
- Strategic Thinker: Anticipates future scenarios and plans to achieve long term goals by focusing on setting objectives, developing plans, and considering the broader impact of decisions
