Perimeter Behavioral Healthcare of Forrest City has a great opportunity for a full-time Lead Mental Health Technician.We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving our patient’s lives by using a patient centered, collaborative approach to providing high quality of care.
Our Lead Mental Health Technician responsibilities include some of the following:
Education: High School Degree or equivalent. It is preferred to have educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments.
Experience:At least three (3) years of related experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience required.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of training in BLS and Handle with Care training within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Our Lead Mental Health Technician responsibilities include some of the following:
- Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift
- ConductHandle with Care, BLS and MHT Academy trainings
- Precept/Train new and existing MHTs
- Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior
- Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients
- Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills
- Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment
- Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided
