The Licensed Practical Nurses’ responsibilities include the following:
- Provides general nursing care as required
- Develops a therapeutic relationship with assigned residents
- Distribute medication as prescribed and properly maintain the MARS
- Serve as a role model for residents and peers
- Establish and maintain professional contact with the resident’s physician and psychotherapist to assist in planning the resident’s care
- Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients
- Admits, discharges and transfers residents based on physician’s orders and sometimes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Intervene appropriately to de-escalate residents as needed. Providing quality and excellent nursing care to assigned behavioral health children and adolescents
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse License in the State of Arkansas or eligible compact license
- Prefer one-year direct care experience in a behavioral health setting
- Must be CPR Certified
