Overview:This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Medical Records and Case Management Coordinator at Perimeter Behavioral Health of the Ozarks in Springdale, Arkansas. In this role, you will provide administrative and clerical to internal and external teams, staff and communities. We are seeking individuals who will make a daily commitment to improve our patients’ lives by using a patient centered collaborative approach to provide high quality care addressing both the mental health and physical wellbeing of our patients
JOB SUMMARY:Perform clerical duties in maintaining patient medical records that include compiling, sorting, filing, collating, copying, locating, verifying, completing and transporting confidential information in accordance with established procedures/regulations. Major categories of department are filing, record completion, transcription (electronic signature), information release, reception, and Master Patient Index. Duties may cross functional lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, a staff person must be able to perform each of these essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below reflects the overall knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required. Associates degree required- BA degree preferred
1 year in Behavioral Health preferred
Physical capability to bend, stoop, lift, and assist with patient interventions, as needed

- Maintain both physical and electronic records-to include completion, deficiency and pending suspension notification
- Assemble client records, file, retrieve, deliver, analyze/reanalyze, sort/collate, and consolidate chart information
- Participate in transcription as required. Including correcting and locate transcription
- Answer phones/take messages, make copies, and mail pickup/delivery
- Use effectively a computer and maintain information data bases, enter data, and run computer reports
- Promptly and accurately responds to requests for information from internal and external customers
- Screen, log, find and fax (urgent) Requests for Information
- Assign/correct patient numbers
- Accurately track the location client records
- Case management/ interact with resident /client/ other entities as needed
