As a Lead Mental Health Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.
- Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shifts and document patient's behavior.
- Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills.
You will also have the opportunity to develop and train new staff members, helping to shape the future of our team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience required.
- Successful completion of training in BLS and Handle with Care training within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
- An understanding of the principles of behavioral healthcare and the ability to apply them in a fast-paced environment.
