Our Therapist responsibilities include the following:
- Develops, implements and administers therapeutic treatment plan by performing intake interviews for medical and psychological history and compiles all pertinent documents to facilitate treatment plan.
- Establishes agenda and conducts treatment team sessions with completion of all reviews.
- Observes client for abnormal physical or mental behavior and monitors progress with components of treatment plan.
- Conducts 45-minute group therapy sessions twice a day.
- Conducts weekly individual and family therapy sessions according to treatment plans.
- Conducts seven (7) day follow up calls.
- Contacts and schedules counseling sessions with family/guardian, significant others and involved agencies. Arranges for onsite visits.
- Coordinates discharge planning 24-48 hours in advance.
- Acts as liaison with family/guardian and other agencies to reunify client with family/guardian and reintegrate back into community.
- Performs daily tasks of counseling by instructing clients in progress charting.
- Responds to any emergency involving clients in treatment.
- Participates as a team member by cooperating with staff and demonstrates compromise and expression of opinions as appropriate.
- Attends staff meetings as required and performs duties as a positive role model for clients and colleagues.
- Utilizes chain of command in all aspects of program and follows organization's policies and procedures.
- Performs community relations by ensuring all written and verbal information is clear, concise, legible and accurate.
- Communicates and cooperates with families/guardians, relevant external personnel and staff members.
- Complies with deadlines for PSA’s and signed charts.
- Completes documentation within 24 hours of completion.
- Documents all external and internal contacts and relays client information according to company and governmental guidelines maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
