SUMMARY:
The Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for developing and implementing consultative selling and related end to end sales processes, analyzing product performance and other sales metrics with the team, and sharing data insights across the organization for planning and collaboration. The Manager, Sales Operations, manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function, creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Leads forecast calls.
- Develops standards for sales excellence including key scorecards, metrics, operational design and process, including forms and templates.
- Responsible for directing the planning, staffing, budgeting, and expense prioritization.
- Ensures planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes.
- Works cross functionally to remove any operation/organizational barriers.
- Responsible for looking after the development of current and new enablement initiatives. Includes the programmatic design of sales programs & communicating to sales teams. Includes sales enablement, sales communication and change management for onboarding sales reps and rolling out new sales programs (i.e. lead gen campaigns, commission spiffs and new product training).
- Oversee Salesforce CRM & other sales tools gather insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams in order to execute initiatives that improve upon existing sales processes, and ultimately align to broader company goals.
- Works closely with sales and finance leadership in preparing Board level and Executive management presentations.
- Establishes clear deal structure and compliance guidelines and measures sales adherence to defined processes.
- Partners with senior management to identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Fosters an environment of continuous improvement.
- Works closely with sales leadership and finance to build annual operating plans and budgets.
- Leads the annual sales quota, compensation, and sales organizational planning process.
- Provides weekly perspectives on state of the business and recommendations on how to maximize sales revenue.
- Manages and updates the sales process, forecasting, pipeline management, KPIs, reports, and dashboards.
- Refines customer segmentation, assists with territory management, and creates a plan to enhance renewal and upsell processes.
- Provides models and organizes statistical studies for the Sales Department.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to be successful in this role.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or graduate degree a plus
- 10 years of Sales Operations and sales leadership experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading sales operations teams
- Highly organized, has multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
- Proficiency in sales automation/enablement tools
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience in early-stage environments with some processes in place, but where more established processes are needed to deliver performance
- Track record of working in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Ability and empathy to relate to all levels of the sales team
- Strong personal productivity computer skills and applications, including Salesforce.com, Google, and Microsoft or related
- Analytical and problem-solving orientation
