Position Summary:
We are looking for a bookkeeper responsible for the overall operations of our financial process.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Reconcile vendor account statements
- Reconcile daily deposits
- Resolve customer and vendor account discrepancies
- Bank reconciliation
- Knowledge of general ledger process
- Maintaining financial records
- Reconcile monthly sales tax and commissions
- Communications with clients, suppliers, and employees
- Financial reporting
- Reconcile PTO and employee hours
- Maintain inventory accuracy in software
- Administrative tasks such as answering the phone, communicating manufacturers updates, maintaining vendor list, purchasing and other responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Advanced level of computer literacy, including Financial Systems software, Microsoft Office, Google Workplace and Advanced Excel skills.
- High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet set deadlines.
- Strong time management, planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and research data and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment and shift priorities as needed.
- Ability to seek out information and resolve issues.
- Comfortable working autonomously but within a team.
- Accountable and self-directed with daily job responsibilities.
