The Senior Field Marketing Specialist creates demand and helps leverage wins in the marketplace, whether it’s with contractors, builders, or lumberyards. The role supports the following priority areas: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio. This position will help grow the number of contractors offering Perma-Column precast Deck Posts and FootingPads® to homeowners.
This role is also responsible for training and supporting sales with dealer sales reps, providing the knowledge and tools to promote Perma-Column precast Deck Posts and FootingPads to contractors and builders. Our field sales teams and distributor sales reps are the primary customers for this role.

**This is a remote role with travel expected up to 2 weeks per month within the assigned territory (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio). Company car is provided.
Essential Functions
- Accelerates market development and sales growth with a primary focus on converting competitive decking foundation opportunities (wood, poured concrete, structural screws) to precast Deck Posts and FootingPad.
- Executes channel marketing strategies and tools to support company growth goals and objectives.
- Provides product training, as necessary, to support dealer and lumberyard sales teams.
- Attains a deep insight into our target customers, contractors, and consumers (homeowners) to assist in the development of compelling customer and market programs that enable market share growth.
- Plans, organizes and executes marketing events, trades shows and other promotional activities to engage target audiences, representing the company at key industry events.
- Builds and maintains relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders to enhance brand loyalty and support sales efforts.
- Conducts market research and monitors competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, product and new products/merchandising practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 5 years of experience in construction or building materials industry.
- Understanding of the Building Products industry and the dynamics of effective selling through the Lumberyard channel
- Able to manage and motivate people through influence and build strong relationships with a wide range of people
- Experience proactively prospecting target customer segments
- Ability to promote teamwork and demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to speak effectively before groups and customers
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
