Position Description :

Our client is seeking a Corporate Finance Associate with 2-6 years of experience in transactional, real estate, or finance law to join their Chicago office. Experience may have been gained at a large or mid-sized law firm, in-house or at a finance company.

Ideal candidate will have :

• Experience in all stages of a finance transaction including drafting & negotiating transaction documents and running closings
• Experience with debt private placements (domestic and cross-border) in the context of representing insurance companies, banks, and other lending institutions
• Experience advising on secured and unsecured lending transactions (including equipment and real estate financing)
• Experience as debt counsel in traditional, leveraged, synthetic and / or capital lease transactions

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of commercial and securities law commensurate with their years of experience. Experience with a broad range of asset classes is preferred.

Candidates should have excellent academic credentials and be barred in Illinois or have the ability to waive into Illinois within a year of joining. The firm will consider candidates relocating from other jurisdictions.
