What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Therapist position at Permanente Dental Associates?
Supports the practices of an evidence-based group by being a clinical and non-clinical resource for the full scope of dental therapy, including but not limited to the full scope of services that a licensed dental therapist may perform under ORS Chapter 679 and/or RCW Chapter 18, as applicable. Educates patients on preventative measures to promote overall oral wellness in an evidence-based group practice. As requested, provides direct and indirect mentoring, supervision, and feedback to other clinical staff. Provides high-quality care and serves as a responsible steward of resources.

Required Skills:
Demonstrated ability to recognize symptoms, identify treatment alternatives and recommend preventive health care measures. Understanding of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Required Experience:
Completion of a Dental Therapist education program that meets requirements established by rule by the Oregon Board of Dentistry or Washington Dental Quality Assurance Commission. Minimum qualifications include an applicable State License as a Dental Therapist, depending on location. Washington and Oregon providers must currently have or be able to obtain a valid CPR Certification.
