Summary
The primary function of this position is to coordinate maintenance needs and maintain systems for an accurate recorded history of fleet repairs, parts, maintenance and labor.
Functional Responsibilities
- Exhibit a strong work ethic with the ability to take direction and work in a team setting and independently.
- Adhere to Permian Basin Materials Code of Conduct and company policies.
- Arrange, coordinate and maintain preventative maintenance schedules from review of pre- and post-trip tickets.
- Originate and close Work Orders of fleet maintenance.
- Coordinate with the transportation department to schedule routine maintenance of fleet vehicles.
- Maintain and control parts inventory including arranging for purchases utilizing established procedures.
- Utilize and maintain fleet database to track and schedule repairs, unit labor hours, and parts.
- Assist maintenance staff with creating Purchase Orders and picking up parts when needed.
- Ensure mechanics have necessary standard tools and service manuals.
- Assist mechanics and Fleet Manager with cost reporting.
- Set up and maintain DOT required files for vehicles and mechanics.
- Assist mechanics with maintaining an orderly shop and cleaning the offices when needed.
- Performs other duties as directed.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office Applications experience required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must be drug free.
- Must be able to:
- Lift or carry up to 20 pounds from floor to 3’ – 5’ occasionally,
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds frequently,
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time with occasional sitting,
- Climb up and down ladders occasionally,
- Use hands, fingers, and feet to operate heavy construction machinery,
- Travel safely while walking and while operating machinery over uneven terrain or in confined spaces,
- See, hear, and respond to verbal, visual, and written instructions and to moving heavy construction machinery,
- Wear proper protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility clothing, steel-toed boots, and gloves,
- Observe all company Safety policies on company premises and while operating heavy construction machinery,
- Continually work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions,
- Work safely in wet, muddy, and slippery conditions occasionally,
- Environment will vary from outdoors with varying noise levels and vibrations associated with construction equipment, and exposure to building materials, dust, and dirt at operating sites to a normal office environment.
