Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Payroll Analyst reporting to the Sr. Manager of Benefits, Compensation and Payroll. This position is available in Houston (The Woodlands) or Midland, Texas, with a preference for Midland. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for 500 salary and hourly employees, including compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in payroll systems, and the ability to perform timecard audits efficiently.

This position will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for 500 salary and hourly employees, including compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in payroll systems, and the ability to perform timecard audits efficiently.
General Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of timecards for 200 hourly employees to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in time and attendance records promptly, working closely with employees and department managers.
- Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on schedule.
- Produce timely and accurate reports for audits, accounting, and general business needs.
- Stay informed about federal and state payroll regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in payroll procedures.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Provide other support (as needed) for entire HR team
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Communications or related field
- 5 years of relevant experience (payroll, accounting, etc.)
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate (both verbal and written) to employees throughout the Company
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- High attention to detail and strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and the ability to work well under pressure with strict timelines
- Familiarity with the oil & gas industry
