Our "R& D" department in New Berlin, WI or Belleville, ILL " is now looking for a Lead Engineer, Sustaining Engineer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Understand existing products, their purpose, how they are manufactured, and the materials and methods used
-Lead, plan, and contribute to the work of the Sustaining Engineering team, including employing processes to ensure productivity, accountability, and effectiveness
-Communicate project status and prioritization to stakeholders and coordinate with wider change management teams to ensure transparency and visibility
-Provide technical leadership in multi-functional groups regarding existing products, manufacturing processes, and CAD/PLM/ERP best practices to facilitate effective strategic decision making, and lead initiatives applicable to Sustaining Engineering
-Assign individuals to or personally staff multi-functional teams to ensure the Sustaining Engineering team is collaborating to -maximize manufacturability, sustainability, durability, etc. of all products
-Utilize team to provide design and drafting support to R&D team to facilitate on time delivery of new product development projects and align the Sustaining Engineering team for future support and maintenance of products
-Identify, schedule, and attend or assign attendees to applicable educational workshops, seminars, and trade-shows to maintain and grow department's technical expertise, establish professional networks, and benchmark state-of-the-art practices
Education
and Qualification Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline from accredited college or university, Master's degree preferred
-Minimum of 3 to 5 years of applicable experience
