Construction Associate Attorney
Location : Nashville, TN
Our client, a highly-regarded AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their growing Construction Practice Group in Nashville . This position offers a clear path for career advancement within the firm, providing hands-on experience in both transactional and litigation aspects of construction law while working alongside seasoned attorneys in a collaborative environment.
Candidate Profile :
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record .
- Active Bar Admission in Tennessee.
- 1–4 years of substantive experience in construction law , including both transactional and litigation matters .
- Some experience representing owners and developers in construction disputes , including delay claims , liens , compensation and expense issues , and quality-of-work matters .
- Courtroom and deposition experience are strongly preferred .
- Exposure to the planning , negotiation , design , and construction phases of complex development projects .
- Strong legal writing skills, with experience drafting contracts , pleadings , and other legal documents in both litigation and transactional contexts .
- Pre-law background or previous career in construction are preferred , but not required.
