Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise nursing staff in ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry units.
- Ensure patient throughput efficiency, maintaining optimal staffing levels and care standards.
- Develop and implement nursing policies & procedures to align with hospital best practices.
- Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams, optimizing safety and workflow processes.
- Monitor and manage budget, supplies, and resource utilization for assigned units.
- Facilitate professional development and continuing education for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and nursing directors to achieve strategic healthcare goals.
Must-Haves:
- Active RN License in North Carolina.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN required, BSN preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or actively pursuing one.
- Previous management experience in ICU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry units.
- Recent bedside patient care experience to support hands-on leadership.
